Hustle for Housing is a rally aimed to demand affordable housing solutions quickly from the local government in Ann Arbor and to raise awareness about hunger and homelessness in Washtenaw County. 

Housing is a human right, not a commodity. In the absence of new housing developments and without investing in current properties, existing developments will deteriorate — worsening living conditions and leading to safety hazards for current residents. Covid-19 raised awareness about just how fragile homeless shelters and the rental market are and how great the need is for affordable housing. 

People being assisted by the Shelter Association have an incredibly hard time finding affordable housing in Washtenaw County, let alone in Ann Arbor. People working in Ann Arbor can't afford to live in Ann Arbor.
