Refugee Resettlement in Washtenaw County (In-Person)

In-person - Chelsea

The Chelsea Human Rights Commission is pleased to present a panel discussion titled “Refugee Resettlement in Washtenaw County”. The Chelsea District Library, Faith in Action and One World One Family are co-sponsors. The event will be November 17, 2022 from 6-7.30 in the McKune Room of the Chelsea Library.

This panel will focus on issues facing refugees in our area, including housing, transportation, employment and family well-being. Presenters will discuss the refugee resettlement process and ways in which Chelsea residents can be involved.

Panelists to date include Mira Sussman, Director of Resettlement Programs for Jewish Family Services and Joyce Deren from Washtenaw Refugee Welcome. The panel will be moderated by Susan Morrel-Samuels, Chair of the Human Rights Commission
