Groundcover News is one of Washtenaw County’s celebrated grassroots newspapers. It’s one of dozens of street papers across the globe that make up the International Network of Street Papers (INSP).
Vendor Appreciation Week is an annual event recognizing the people and their voices that make street papers possible. One way to celebrate their work is to buy a street paper and encourage others to do it too! Vendors are most often around downtown Ann Arbor along Main Street, Liberty Plaza, and in Kerrytown.
Groundcover News exists to create opportunity and a voice for low-income people while taking action to end homelessness and poverty. To learn more about this local street paper and the vendors that sell them, visit groundcovernews.org/about.
