Housing is a cornerstone of thriving communities. The Building Michigan Communities Conference attracts a wide range of attendees from elected officials and staff to housing service providers, all across the housing continuum.
At this year’s conference, the Michigan State Housing Development Authority is slated to release Michigan’s first Statewide Housing Plan (SHP). The SHP Summary explains the importance of creating and implementing a collaborative statewide housing strategy. and is being shared with legislators, local governments, community partners, and the public. The document highlights several of the housing concerns facing Michigan residents and identifies the eight (8) priority areas being addressed in the plan.
