Superior Township Trustees Meeting (In-person)

  • Superior Township Hall 3040 North Prospect Road Superior Charter Township, MI, 48198 United States (map)

In-person - Superior Township

At this meeting Trustees will vote on the rezoning of a parcel of land at 3900 N. Dixboro Rd.

Garrett’s Space is dedicated to reducing suicides and filling critical gaps in supportive care options for young adults ages 18 to 28 facing mental health challenges. Garrett’s Space is working to restore hope and perspective in this population by promoting connections, self-worth and resilience. The organization provides mental health wellness services and is seeking to open a residential center on a 76-acre parcel of land in Superior Township (learn more here).

The parcel of land Garrett’s Space has selected in Superior Township needs to be rezoned to allow for this new residential center. The organization has gone through the Township processes to rezone the parcel, but some neighbors have come out in opposition to the center (link to news article here). The Superior Township Planning Commission voted unanimously to recommend approval of the rezoning in April. The Superior Township Trustees met in May to consider the rezoning, but delayed voting until their meeting on June 20th.
