Attendees will learn about some of the barriers to employment faced by people with criminal justice involvement. Then, the presenters will share an overview of the efforts by Michigan Department of Corrections to develop job and career opportunities and resources available to those on MDOC supervision (probation or parole). Attendees will learn about resources available to those on MDOC probation or parole and how to help clients access those resources, as well as barriers the population faces. This training is for homeless service providers who work with people on probation or parole.
