Trauma-Informed Approaches for Housing and Supportive Service Providers Training and Certification (Virtual)

Virtual - zoom

Register here for the series and to review the series schedule

July 9 - July 30, 2024
Tuesdays and Thursdays
2:00 - 3:30pm EST

Description

Understanding the widespread impact of trauma at the individual, community, and system levels can prepare staff working in human service programs to better support the needs of people affected by trauma and minimize the potential for re-traumatization. This series provides a grounding in both the concept of trauma and the philosophy of a trauma-informed approach and explores concrete strategies to infuse this approach into the everyday practices of service providers. Topics include promoting physical and emotional safety, collaborative services planning, healthy boundaries, cultural humility, and more.

Designed for housing and supportive services providers, this certification series includes seven unique learning modules. Participants who complete each module and pass a skills review at the end of each session will receive a professional certificate and digital badge that they can share on LinkedIn and their resumes.
